Beats Fit Pro vs. Apple AirPods Pro

Beats Fit Pro vs. Apple AirPods Pro – which earbuds are better? While it’s true that Beats has been owned by Apple since 2014, Apple continues to produce head phones and other audio products, including the Apple AirPods Pro, which directly compete against Beats Fit Pro. These earbuds have a lot of similarities – the both offer a charging case, active noise cancellation, and interchangeable ear tips. They are even similar in price, so which is a better buy?

We put them to the test so help you decide whether you should buy Beats Studio Buds or AirPods Pro.

The Beats Fit Pro offers more colors than the AirPods Pro

The Beats Fit Pro come in 4 colors; black, white, gray, or purple. These earbuds are also smaller than the AirPods Pro because they don’t have a stem. At 5 grams a piece, they are also lightweight.

As usual, the AirPods Pro are only available in glossy white. The Pros also seal to the ears for better isolation and sound quality, unlike the original AirPods. These earbuds do have a stem, and while they aren’t that big, they are long enough to get pulled out of your ears when taking off a sweaty shirt.

Both earbuds also feature an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating, so you don’t need to worry about sweating on them.

Controls on the Beats Fit Pro vs. Apple AirPods Pro

You can control the AirPods Pro using small buttons on the stems of the earbuds. On Apple devices, you can customize setting for these buttons with single and double taps for Siri, music playback, and noise cancellation. Also on Apple devices, audio will automatically stop and start when you take out the earbuds and put them back in.

The Beats Fit Pro have clickable button on the side of each earbud for controls. On Apple devices Siri can be activated, and on all devices you can customize the controls. Unlike the AirPods Pro, audio does not automatically stop and start when you remove the earbuds and put them back in.

Both have similar battery life

The Apple AirPods Pro and Beats Studio Buds offer nearly identical battery life. With the charging case, both offer 24 hours of listening time. The AirPods Pro case charges using a lightening connector, while Beats Fit Pro use USB-C. The AirPods Pro supports wireless charging, while the Beats Fit Pro do not.

Both work well with Apple devices, but the Beats Fit Pro work better on Android

Both the Apple AirPods Pro and Beats Fit Pro are equipped with an H1 chip, allowing you to automatically switch between iCloud devices and enable audio sharing. Once connected, you can control the earbuds via the control center, or from within the settings app on your Apple devices. They both feature spatial audio, active noise cancelling, transparency mode, and adaptive EQ.

With Android devices, the AirPods Pro need to be to manually put into pairing mode in order to connect. Once connected, the earbuds can customized, but not to the same extent as iOS. Active noise cancelling and transparency mode are still available as well.

On Apple devices, with the Beats Fit Pro the controls can be customized using the Beats app. The earbuds seamlessly pair to Android devices, battery information can be accessed.

The AirPods Pro offer better noise cancelling

Active noise cancelling is better on the Apple AirPods Pro than the Beats Fit Pro. The AirPods Pro quiets frequencies between 100-1000Hz to about half..

The Beats Fit Pro quiets sounds up to 1000Hz about one-quarter quieter. Between the two, ANC on/off with the AirPods Pro is much more noticeable than with the Beats Fit Pro.

The AirPods Pro have better microphone quality

Neither microphone is made for professional use, but both will work for calls. The AirPods Pro have more upper-midrange than the Beats Studio Buds for better voice quality.

Which earbuds sound better?

Compared to the AirPods Pro, the Beats Fit Pro have more bass and treble. While some people prefer this, vocals through are not as pronounced on the Beats Fit Pro earbuds. This means vocal performances will sound clearer on the AirPods Pro. It’s also important to note that neither product has custom EQ, so this is important when making a buying decision. If you like EDM or hip-hop, the Beats are the way to go, while people who enjoy more vocally driven music may prefer the AirPods Pro.

Apple AirPods Pro or Beats Studio Buds: which should you buy?

If you have an Android device, the Beats Fit Pro will provide a more seamless experience. Because of their limited functionality, we don’t recommend the AirPods Pro to Android users. Buy Beats Fit Pro On Amazon

For iPhone owners, the choice isn’t as straightforward. If you want wireless charging, the AirPods Pro are the right choice. Now that the AirPods Pro are only $175, the purchase is easier to justify than when they were $250. Buy AirPods Pro On Amazon
